Nicasio has been a Tin House workshop scholar and a finalist for the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, and the IGNYTE Award. He is the Associate Editor at Psychopomp, and the Poetry Editor at The Deadlands, a Hugo-nominated speculative fiction magazine. He lives in the Philippines with as many dogs as possible.
